These photographs of the 1973 lake drawdown were taken by Henry Musial. The lake was drawn down to make repairs of Doloff Dam. All of the dam photos in these shots are of Doloff Dam.

Peter Meindl Carvings Print E-mail

Peter Meindl was one of the three German woodcarvers who were the first residents on the South side of the lake. During an interview of Henry Musial for an upcoming history project article, Henry's wife Priscilla provided us with Polaroid photographs of some of Peter's carvings. Henry also pulled a few signs out of storage for us to photograph.

Hans Brustle's Carvings at St. Paul's School Print E-mail

If you read Gladys Whitney's interview in the History section of this web site, then you learned that Hans Brustle was a wood carver from Germany. During the interview Gladys mentioned that Hans had done carving for the St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. Since 1856 St. Paul's School has carved the names of each graduating class, or "form" as they call it, into the wood paneling of the building named Coit House.
