Why Register On The PLIA Website? Print E-mail
Written by PLIA Staff

You may have been asking yourself "Why should I register on the PLIA website?". It seems like all the juicy content you need is available without logging into the site. Well, read the Top Ten Reasons You Should Register...

Top Ten Reasons to Register

1. Registered Members will receive PawPrints newsletters by email. More members are on-line today then ever before. Sending PawPrints out in pdf format will save the PLIA close to a thousand dollars in printing and mailing costs each issue. When the majority of members are registed, the PLIA will switch to email only delivery. At that time, if you aren't registered, you won't receive the newsletter.

2. Registered Members have the option to receive PLIA meeting and event notices by email. By registering you will receive notices by email, keeping you informed and freeing volunteers up for other important PLIA projects like saving our lake from exotic plant infestations.

3. Registered Members have the option to receive emails about Volunteer opportunities. Be involved, stay informed, meet your neighbors, help build the community spirit we share on Pawtuckaway. By registering you will know what opportunities are available for you to participate in so you can fit some volunteer time into your busy schedule.

4. Registered Members can easily communicate with other members, road reps, and PLIA staff through blind email.  The Contacts menu of the web site expands after you register to include road reps and other registered members. You can send blind emails (neither person can see the other person's email address) to stay in touch, ask a question, share an idea, or communicate with PLIA staff.

5. Registered Members can post items or yard sale notices in the SwapShop, our on-line free classifieds section. Who would have thought that registering on the PLIA web site could clean out your shed!

6. Registed Members have the ability to contribute articles, news, or events to the web site. We know that you know something that we don't know. And, now you know how to let other people know what we don't know. So now you know how to do that, you know?

7. Registered Members will save volunteer's time and phone expenses by communicating through the web. Help us to help you by making it easy to communicate with you.

8. Members can participate in the Members Only Forum discussions. Upon registering the Forum opens up to include a members only section. PLIA committees, volunteers, and members can share ideas, ask questions, answer questions or just stay connected. We are just building these forums in May but, logon to follow our progress.

9. Registered Members will be able to contribute photographs to the upcoming Photo Gallery. We are working hard to add a new photo gallery section to the web site. We plan on posting photos from PLIA events, meetings, historical photos of the lake, and wildlife (not the parties, the animals!).

10. Our new web site is just getting off the ground, new features that we have not implemented yet, and even some we haven't even thought of yet, will be implemented for Registered Members only.

So, Register today. It's easy, it's fun, it's fast, it's free.
