A 1953 map of Pawtuckaway Lake drawn by Hans Brustle has been posted to the Downloads section of the website in the 'Maps & Charts' folder. This map shows the names and locations of the residents of the lake in 1953.
Of particular interest are the camps that were located on Big Island, Small Island and adjacent to the Fundy Boat Launch. These camps were taken by eminent domain when the State Park was being developed. The residents were forced to leave and their camps were burned down.
