We are very pleased to announce that the Pawtuckaway Open Charity Ice Golf and Chili Bowl has a new Tournament Director and the next event will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 on Pawtuckaway Lake.
Jay Swymer, a long time supporter of the Open, is the new Tournament Director and Golf Pro. Tricia Guarino is the new Top Chili Chef. The tournament will be held to raise money for Fred’s Fund, a 501c Charity whose mission is to provide funds, goods and services to benefit the families and young patients being treated in the Pediatric Intensive Care unit at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD). The course will be essentially the same and the starting point will be the old 9th hole. The address is 15 Meindl Rd.
For more than ten years, we ran the Pawtuckaway Open in support of Families In Transition. We chose that organization because we were so impressed with the quality of their program and their success rate. We are equally impressed with Fred’s Fund and the great work they do for CHaD, striving to make life a little easier for families in the midst of very difficult periods.
