The Lake Host Program is more than half-way through the summer schedule.

State-wide, Lake Hosts are up to 188 “saves” including 2 here on Pawtuckaway Lake – one Eurasian milfoil and one variable milfoil. Here are some interesting stats on this very important program:

  • Collectively, our paid and volunteer hosts have provided more 450 hours of ramp coverage and conducted more 1,145 inspections.
  • 93% of the boats inspected are from New Hampshire
  • 47% of the boats inspected are canoe or kayaks
  • 42% of the boats inspected are outboard motor boats
  • 56% of the boats have a high awareness of the program

The attached documents give you information on how to spot variable milfoil and Eurasian milfoil and how to inspect boats or personal watercrafts that may be using your private boat launches.
